Dear Church Pastors and Brothers and Sisters,  Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!  Ever since the song “Jehovah Reigns” has been sung to worship God in Chinese churches and fellowship groups in North America and even in China and Mongolia, we have continued to hear many exciting and inspiring testimonies.  These testimonies include stories of people who were renewed and healed through hymns and music, even those who had no hope and others who suffered terrible diseases such as S.L.E. (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus).  Hallelujah!  Glory to our Lord, the King of Kings!  He is the God who performs miracles; what can’t he accomplish?!  Then God brought our entire family from Los Angeles, where we had lived for more than twenty years, to serve at a church in Houston, Texas.  Our God is not only faithful, He is also the God of Ebenezer: “Thus far has the LORD helped us” (1 Samuel 7:12).  Each time I served brothers and sisters, it was God’s word that was my constant help and strength, every minute of every hour.  Also, by the immense power of the Holy Spirit, people were set free from the power of darkness and entered God’s radiant and glorious kingdom!  And He is even more merciful to me, always inspiring me to write music and lyrics, to express a vivid life testimony through song, and to serve God and serve people.   Now I want to share with you the vision God has inspired in me and that comes from Genesis 14, which describes how Abram (later changed to Abraham) saved Lot from the enemy and recovered all that had been seized from him.  In this written history, I see our own current circumstances: the world in upheaval, endless natural disasters, and the terrible acts of our fellow man.  Our family, countrymen, brothers, and sisters are also under constant attack; for example, worry, anxiety, depression, blame, hate, bitterness, regret, cruelty, fear, and suicide continue to control us and our bodies.  The human heart knows no peace, and we have no way to escape.  We are unable to find our way out; we are without strength and incapable of defending ourselves.   And now God has called us to be his ambassadors and a conduit for his blessings.  He has called us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ on the cross, to give the gospel to the captive, the prisoners, the hurt, the oppressed, and those with dry, thirsty hearts, dead souls, and hopeless minds.  The Lord Jesus says, “Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14).  Revelations also clearly mentioned that in the new Jerusalem God’s holy city has a river of life.  Living water comes from the Lord who gives us life, and he is the only way.  For whoever finds Him finds life.   Hence, the Spring of Salem Music Ministry was born.  Our mission is to be co-workers with God, responding to His abundant grace and calling through gospel music and the testimony of blessed lives, to pass on God’s love and blessings and to save lost souls!  Moreover, through worship and praise, we want people to meet God, reconcile relationships, and rediscover the lost hearts God gave us to love one another.  We hope to rebuild the body, heart, and spirit.  We need you to work with us through your prayers and financial support.  Whether you offer one penny or one dime, every cent contributes to the power of God’s kingdom and your storehouse of treasures in heaven.  Contributions are tax-deductible.  Please make checks payable to:   Spring of Salem Music Ministry or SOSMM 1935 Seakale Lane Houston, TX 77062 May God bless you!  May God remember you!  Humbly,  Yvenn Lee Founder of "Spring of Salem Music Ministry"  yvenn@sosmm.org                                                                Back to Top
